Pursuant to United States Code, Title 31, section 5135(b)(8)(C), the United States Mint announces the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) public meeting scheduled for October 18, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room, United States Mint, 801 9th Street NW., Washington, DC 20220.
The CCAC will review and discuss candidate designs for the obverse of the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Program, revised versions of the 2019 America the Beautiful Quarters Program candidate designs honoring American Memorial Park (Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands), and concepts and themes for the 2020 and 2021 America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
Interested members of the public may either attend the meeting in person or dial in to listen to the meeting at (866) 564-9287/Access Code: 62956028.

Any member of the public interested in submitting matters for the CCAC’s consideration is invited to submit them by fax to the following number: 202-756-6525.
In accordance with 31 U.S.C. 5135, the CCAC:
- Advises the Secretary of the Treasury on any theme or design proposals relating to circulating coinage, bullion coinage, Congressional Gold Medals, and national and other medals.
- Advises the Secretary of the Treasury with regard to the events, persons, or places to be commemorated by the issuance of commemorative coins in each of the five calendar years succeeding the year in which a commemorative coin designation is made.
- Makes recommendations with respect to the mintage level for any commemorative coin recommended.
Members of the public interested in attending the meeting in person will be admitted into the meeting room on a first-come, first-serve basis as space is limited. Conference Room A&B can accommodate up to 50 members of the public at any one time. In addition, all persons entering a United States Mint facility must adhere to building security protocol. This means they must consent to the search of their persons and objects in their possession while on government grounds and when they enter and leave the facility, and are prohibited from bringing into the facility weapons of any type, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or contraband.
The United States Mint Police Officer conducting the screening will evaluate whether an item may enter into or exit from a facility based upon federal law, Treasury policy, United States Mint Policy, and local operating procedure; and all prohibited and unauthorized items will be subject to confiscation and disposal.

That is a deal! Sort of like a Silver Proof Set but no nasty Cent or Nickel to deal with. And you get that beautiful Packaging but of course some Collectors might feel inclined to chase down a SAE.

My 2 2017 LEPS delivered. All was as it should be. No bubble wrap but LOTS of paper. After complaining directly to the Mint last year when I received my order for the Gold Mercury Dimes that were handed to me by the postal clerk, wrapped in a plastic bag because it was LEAKING, ( Everything in side was soaked. Who knows what happened) Idon’t let anything slip by. If they do good, I say so. If they don’t, they get it back and a call.
